yeah i want to install solaris tho... i am pretty used to debian and
open / netbsd and could probably install those pretty easily with boot
floppies / network install; however i haven't used solaris much so i
plan to torture myself by trying to learn about it.

so my question was mainly specific to installing solaris 8 over the
network from a machine that's not running solaris (probably x86 debian
or freebsd).
