Not that I really have that much experience, but that error seems
similar to the one I got when my friend suggested I tar a solaris installation
from my 9GB Barracuda to the 18GB Cheetah I got from him. (damn job keeps me from
doing fun things wasting hours on a solaris install :( Everything went
flawlessly but the system would refuse to boot off the 18GB claiming the kernel
was not executable. Refusing to give up on and doing a fresh install on the 18GB,
I stumbled across the installboot command. Perhaps you might wanna hit that man
page.
Why Solaris 7 didn't do it itself, *shrug*, I hope a guru answers. This is
a wonderful channel to leech experience :)
