While not linked to the main pages yet or anything, the sun blade 100 page
is now up @ Sun:
http://www.sun.com/desktop/sunblade100
The picture is, well, interesting to say the least. Actually, the case is
reminiscint more of the styling of the later E class boxes, like the 420R.
Pertinent specs seem to match what we've been bandying around:

UP TO 2 GB OF 168-PIN JEDEC DRAM WITH ERROR CORRECTION
UP TO TWO 15 GB, 7200-RPM EIDE HARD DRIVES
THREE PCI SLOTS
BUILT-IN SUN PGX64, 2-D GRAPHICS WITH 8 MB OF SGRAM
SUN EXPERT3D-LITE GRAPHICS SUPPORT
BUILT-IN USB AND IEEE 1394 (FIREWIRE) PORTS
FASTETHERNET, 10/100BASE-T AUTO-SENSING AND AUTO-SWITCHING

They now show up @ SunStore as well...
$950 gets you:

128-MB Memory (1 x 128-MB DIMM)
Sun PGX64 On-Board Graphics Accelerator
(1) 15-GB 7200 RPM EIDE Disk
48x CD-ROM Drive
1.44-MB Floppy
Smart Card Reader
Solaris 8 Installed (RTU)
and claims to ship in 3 days...
$1450 steps you up to 256mb, $2450 steps you up to DVD, Expert3DLite
graphics, and 256mb...
If only SCSI capability was at least present as well....Go ahead and ship me
IDE drives as default, but put the scsi back on the mainboard...
Oh well, it's not bad and the price is very nice...
Next question: Is the Sun Blade 100 just replacing Ultra 5s, and can we
expect an Ultra 10 replacement as well?? Hmm....
