Well, that would depend on the hardware your server is. But for 1000
records, I would say that would hardly have a impact.

Also, I hope you are aware that there are security problems with BIND
8.1.2. I recommend that you use BIND 8.2.2-P5 instead, as that version
fixes many security problems.
