this is exactly my thought. Using sunfreeware.com's perl is a pain
for example in combination with DBI/DBD::* database access or other
pm's.

The best is getting the newest gcc and compile it (with gcc from sunfreeware),
then remove the gcc-pkg and compile perl 5.6.
