[SunHELP] UFS loggin on Solaris 8

interesting. i setup a firewall on an ss5 i have at home. set it to do UFS
logging. had some power problems. turns out the clothes washer is on the
same circuit as the computer room, and running all my functioning computers
and the washer at the same time would blow the breaker. took me 5 times of
going to the basement to reset the breaker until i figured out what was
happening. (duh, isn't five times a little excessive *G*)

machine went down hard 5 times in a row. every time it came up at the part
where it either says /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0: filesystem clean or runs fsck it
just says /dev/rdsk/c0t0d0s0: is logging and never ran fsck.

system is as stable as the day i installed it.

DECstation 5000/240 running NetBSD is dead (filesystem is totally destroyed)

ss20 with loggin got powered off after the second power failure, but has since
been brought up with zero trouble.

FreeBSD box with SOFTUPDATES is fine too.

so, it works the way it is supposed to for me. don't know what to tell you.
