[Sunhelp] On-board Ultr 5 hme0 not working

tpe-link-test? is true
test net fails.
Stop-N appears to do nothing....no return ok prompt, just sit's there.
Shouldn't it give a reset message or the like?

Did you run diags from Open Boot? Look at the system variable
'tpe-link-test?' and make sure it is set to true, false is equivalent to
turning off the interface. You can also try Stop-N from the OK prompt to
reset the nvram to factory defaults failing everything else.

It's possible that we've got a refurbished dud, but.....
I have an Ultra 5 that the on--borad hme seems to be dead. If I cable it to
the hub and introduce power, no link light.
All the others show link immediately (as they should).
Any ideas? Or is this just a bad board?
