You should be able to do this by telneting to the remote machine then
setting DISPLAY to the local machine. Something like...

On the local machine...

$ who am i
wmcdonal   pts/3        Nov 16 08:35 (192.168.60.203:0.0)

On the remote machine...

$ DISPLAY=192.168.60.203:0.0
$ export DISPLAY
$ ./whateverXapplication
