Dear Paul, Bill and all other Sun Helpers,

Thanks very much for your answers!

We read these two documents:
http://faqaboss.sunhelp.org/
http://www.squirrel.com/squirrel/sun-nvram-hostid.faq.html

And decided that SPARCStation-2 was a sun4c kernel architecture
machine, and a sun4c machine needed M48T02 chip, and we did
order one from mouser.com.

Now we need to re-program the NVRAM chip. Shame on us,
we did not save any environment info beforehand. We know the
machine had 64MB RAM, and 2x2GB disks.

Is it possible or necessary to re-program the NVRAM chip from stracht?

Any of these will work, I think the main difference is access time,
which really doesn't make a difference.
