Dear Experts!

I am trying to keep track of all users using ftp services in some log
files. What should I do ? some clue for u are here :

ftp     stream  tcp     nowait  root    /usr/sbin/tcpd      in.ftpd -dl  (
from inetd.conf )

from syslog.conf :
*.err;kern.debug;daemon.notice;mail.crit        /var/adm/messages
*.alert;kern.err;daemon.err                     operator

Do I need to modify syslog.conf file ?

I tried with  making an entry in syslog.conf  file like this :
*.auth & daemon.auth  but it gives error in console during boot up itself.

expecting ur valuable suggestions at the earliest.
