Hello 

is there any way to restore a COMPLETE System (Sol 2.6 + 
applications) out of a tar file? 

My first idea: Partitioning of the disks exactly as they were before 
the crash -> installing of Sol 2.6 from CD -> tar xp    to recover the 
system on the same disk? Will that work? What are the risks?
