Hi,
I have had a problem in that my news spool became corrupt and when I fsck the
file system most of it was moved to the lost+found directory.
/var/adm/messages contained :-
Jan 22 19:36:35 brake unix: NOTICE: ufs_itrunc: /var/spool/dnews/2791 new size =
0, blocks = -1040
Jan 29 19:17:50 brake unix: NOTICE: ufs_itrunc: /var/spool/dnews/40 new size =
0, blocks = -816
Jan 29 19:17:50 brake unix: NOTICE: ufs_itrunc: /var/spool/dnews/42 new size =
0, blocks = -144

The System is an SparcStation LX ,Solaris 2.6 The /var/spool/dnews is mounted
onto its own drive :-
/dev/dsk/c0t1d0s6 388632 43976 344272 12% /var/spool/dnews

Could I have recovered the data in lost+found and is there a fix?

Cheers
Richard.
