If I remember well, the procedure is :

/etc/TIMEZONE            # Replace the line TZ=GMT with TZ=MET

/etc/profile             # add the following line: TZ=MET; export TZ

#There might be something about "zic" cmd too, but I did not use it.

Reboot the machine.
