Basically, you need Solaris 7 or 2.6 with at least kernel patch 105181-09.
You add the line "set priority_paging=1" in /etc/system and reboot.
Priority paging changes the paging strategy to free data before executable
code when memory gets tight. This means that file i/o buffers won't push
running programs out of memory, a chief cause of unresponsive behaviour in
small machines.
