Are your names servers that you query internal and do they have a record for
this host?

I have the problem related to DNS Query.i have made the following entry
in my nsswitch.conf file for hosts : nisplus [NOTFOUND=continue] dns
[NOTFOUND=continue] files. Now when i am accessing my intranet page from
local domain Web Server (using http://IP Address),the page takes lot of
time to open.And if i remove the DNS entry from nsswitch.conf file ,the
page opens up very quickly.And since most of the time i am accessing my
local domain page using IP Address so this problem shouldnt be there.
