We are presently running Solaris 2.3 on Sun SPARC 1000.We are using Oracle
7.1 on it.We want to upgrade the OS from solaris 2.3 to 2.6 and database
from Oracle 7.1 to 7.3.


1.What are the precautions we should take before starting this task?

2.Please suggest us which will be the best method to perform this activity.

3.Is the solaris 2.6 is completely y2k compliant?

4.Whether all Y2k patches are available for solaris 2.3 OS or not?
