[Sunhelp] Backout plan after pkgadd

Hi,
There are so many packages that we can install in our machine.
The problem is  after we execute pkgadd command, then
everything goes wrong, such as overwritting a "VERY IMPORTANT FILE".

Please give me your suggestion If I want to learn the behavior of a certain
package;
such as knowing what will the package do during installation.
Actually what I want to know is how to prepare the backout plan?
