1. If you can boot the system into single user mode (b -r) than you can do 
an:
   format -> 0 -> partition -> print
to find out all the slices and compare them with what you have under 
/etc/vfstab.
2. The problem is a bit more complicated when you cannot boot the sistem in 
single user mode. In this case you will need to apply the techniques 
described in "Solaris Administration Guide" ( chapter 9 - x86: How to Boot a 
System for Recovery Purposes ) and then apply the procedure described at 1.
