You can download olvwm 4.4 (the openlook virtual window manager)
source-code from the 'net and compile it. The source-code for olvwm was
initially published by Sun in the early-90's.
I have built olvwm several times, on 2.6, 8 and 9 (because I like it's
extra capabilities over stock olwm).

" I'd been hoping to also run Solaris 8 (last version with Open Look)
though.
i can't find it now [though i did find some related/similar things],
but i recall someone posting here or on geeks or rescue of someone else
who'd persuaded sun to let him compile the ow src for s9 and s10 on both
x86/x64 and sparc and host the pkgs on on sourceforge or github or the
like... perhaps someone else with a better memory will know the
details.
i did learn that s9 and s10 still have the ow libs so that precompiled
openwin programs can run.
ps. https://sourceforge.net/projects/openlook/ maybe?
