Those drives do go bad a lot. I've run into a few dead ones in both Sun 
and x86 stuff. I never really paid attention to what models I used so, I 
cant give you models anymore. You might try looking on ebay at Sun 
labeled ones for sale. They still have the original manufacturers label 
on there if the seller took a picture of it.
