Most LCDs with analogue inputs are flexible about what you actually feed
them. I've had no trouble dumping SoG into most LCDs. (The one exception
I encountered was an HP LCD that would happily display the image, then
overlay an error message about sync on the perfect image.)

Any 13W3 adapter will work. For sync on green, you will want to clip the
H- and V-sync pins out of the VGA cable. (VGA cables are cheaper than
13W3 adapters, so that's where I make the sacrifice.) Having no signal
at all on the H- and V- sync pins provokes different behaviour than
garbage signals.

As someone else mentioned, widescreen resolutions are a real pain in the
butt on SGIs. Worse, some VPro graphics have hardware bugs that make certain
sync ranges impossible to output. I would search the nekochan forums for
details. If the particular output you want is possible, it's easy to copy
someone else's configuration work.
