I put Octane graphics into an Origin 2000 deskside and ran it off my generic
Dell 22" flat panel with a 13W3 -> VGA connector. I can't remember now if it
was ESI or ESX, but it 'just worked'.

Do some searching over at Nekochan.net and you'll find lots of specifics.
