I've been talking about this with a friend at Sun^WOracle.  He said that
trying to figure out the license terms made his head spin, but that as
far as he can figure out, at least up to Solaris 10 u8 release, a free
hobbyist "entitlement" still exists, but good luck getting any patches
at all without a paid support contract.  This is probably as definitive
as it's going to get short of asking to Oracle's legal department
directly - which I've a mind to do.
