Glad it found a home. If I were closer I would have spoken up. Nice machines. As a side note, I'm still looking for some 256mb RAM modules for my 4500 - they came in kits of 8 (2gb).

The FC interface on the 3500 was a narrow board with slots for 4 GBICs. The 4500 has two FC interfaces right on the main I/O board.

Unforunately, the FC interfacs built into the Suns aren't supported by Linux. I'm using a PCI module with a Qlogic 2100 to drive my A5000s. The older Qlogic cards are pretty easy to find, as are the older Emulex LightPulse cards, both are supported by Linux and work in standard PCI slots.

Speaking of Fibre Channel, I'm still looking for a few more drives to fill up this other A5000...
