Interestingly enough, I still have one of them (1.2gHz Athalon soldered
to the motherboard) system, chugging away and similar 1gHz duron one,
which I'm writing this on (using ssh from a Mac). The Pentium 4's
from that era are all long since gone. 

I do have an older PIII 800mHz, I am using as my office computer, because
I am broke, and we have have some later P4's, but the early, fast clock speed,
slow performance original P4's are all gone.

Speaking of P4's, someone else commented on IBM buying SUN so that it would
not be owned by people out of the US. Considering where all of Intel's
processors since the Pentium 166 MMX were partially and now are totaly
designed and all of the Core chips are made, it may be too late.

Where are the AMD chips made?
