They depreciate so quickly however.

The real question is how much $ can you get back on it during its 3 year
lifespan; if you are paying someone  $100K per year, they are getting
$50 per hour; so if you can deliver something that makes them 10% more
efficient the extra cost will pay for itself.

However if the speed is the same, it is cheaper to buy and throw away
the $2000 one.
