I'd like to second this one! :-)

This one bit me in the backside.  I had my Model 320 plugged into an 
Nortel/Xylogics Annex 3 (that was not wired for full HW flow control.)  
I think that I went to a Cisco style rollover cable, with cisco hoods - 
and that worked out ok for me.
