IMHO, YDL suffers from "feature creep", "software bloat", whatever
you want to call it. It would be great if your Pismo has a large
hard drive (40-60gig) and 512m RAM. 

I prefer UBUNTU, with a "server" install and then carefully adding GNOME,
I was able to make a decent system out of a Wallstreet with 800x600 display,
2g HD, and 196m RAM. Runs FireFox, SSH and a few other things quite nicely.
Due to a Kernel bug, would not run WiFi (this was 7.04).
