I bought one of the aforementioned cheap SC420 boxes (at the time, it was
a 2.53Ghz Celeron, 512M RAM, 160G SATA disk, and a CD-ROM, along with
onboard gig Ethernet, and sound, etc, for $160!!!).  I never got around to
doing the video card mod, however, and its just remained my dedicated 
Solaris x86 system that does rsnapshot backups of my colo boxes.

I air-dust it out every six months or so and it just keeps chugging along.
