" Pictures, please! I've never heard of a Solbourne that used a
" gas plasma display, but then my only experience with them was
" their equivalent to the Sun 4/xxx series that ran SunOS.
afaik they all were sparc based, and ran a modified sunos4 kernel that
was fine-grained mp - or at least more fine grained than 'real'
sunos4. from my brief personal experience either it or the hardware
were depressingly unstable, and i later heard the place where i'd
encountered one never found peace until they replaced it with a sun
3000. btw, my contract coincided with solbourne going under and all
parts and field service being taken over by - the name escapes me just
now.
they also had an early solaris2 - 2.3? - which i haven't seen.

all that aside, as a thought experiment i've long thought it'd be
cool to merge a solbourne with an auspex.
