They are not ISO9660 as you say. However, it is entirely possible to
read them on a PC anyway. You just have to use linux build with support
for SGI disklabels and efs. If your definition of a PC involves a
certain OS from MS, then just install VMWare and work from there to read
the CDs on a PC.
