[rescue] Burning IRIX boot disks

I never did it, but someone I know did it a long time ago.

They WERE NOT ISO images, so they could not be read on a PC,
but you could copy them to an "iso" file using DD or readcd
(or is it CDREAD?) and burn them.

Try using BURNATONCE under Windows or CDRDAO under Linux.

Note that you should burn them at the slowest speed your burner can handle,
or older drives may not be able to read it. For some strange reason I
have had better luck buring CD's at "1 speed" (equivalent to
CD 4x" on DVD burners than with CD burners themselves.

Note that there are some valid data patterns that CD burners can't burn.
If you don't believe me, download "sheeptest.zip" (STFW) and burn the
sheep 2 and sheep 3 data files.

I have several CD burners that can burn the sheep2 file (but no DVD
burners that can), but none that can burn the sheep-3 file.
