I had one of those, a 4 or 12 tape robot drive that fit in a full height
bay.

It did work fairly well, but 4mm never was very good.

I had fairly good results with a Seagate Scorpion, but only for about 2
years.

I've heard from someone that has a DD4 drive that his is pretty
reliable, but I have no idea how much he uses it.

I know some people using VXA and they say it works pretty well.

At $70 per tape, it damn well should.

Still hoping one of these days we get decent back media again...
