ftp.sunwizard.net used to host just such an archive of older Unix software
(including, eg, SunOS 4.1.4 - Solaris 9, IRIX 6.5, Tru64, OpenVMS, etc).
Sadly the archive is no longer public - one needs a username and password
to access the copyrighted material (not that I would condone such behaviour
of course, *cough*).
