Well, yeah.  Just because you hooked them up to a SCSI bus doesn't
change the fact that they're still IDE drives.

Hooked up some 40GB IDE drives to an Antares LVD SCSI card in a Ultra
AXe FrankenSun via one of the Acard gadgets.  A $ 80 USD Fujitsu
MAP3367NP was faster.  IMO they're only worthwhile if you're gonna use
drives 120GB or larger.
