I snipped it because I thought it was worded as if it were a separate
idea.

Also, maybe I just can't see it without doing it, but I don't think it
would work on my system.  On my U2, the pair of SCSI bays is wider than
the optical bay, so I just don't see how a tall drive would fit in
either bay.

I just decided to get a new Fujitsu.  Nice drives, super quiet, and I'll
probably be able to run it for about 5 years if they last as well as my
others.

I've gotten too many used drives that died on me early.  At five years
old, a SCSI drive is nearing the end of its error free life.  If they
were used in a hot enclosure, they might start going bad earlier.

So, it makes me a bit paranoid.

I just can't have what I want: SATA capacities and prices with SCSI
interfaces.

Honestly, 7200rpm would be fine with me most of the time, since Sun
equipment doesn't have fast SCSI I/O anyway, but the industry has chosen
to not provide that level SCSI drive any more.

Bummer...
