Not a problem at all, I enjoyed finding out about the IEEE Micro
reference!  I subscribed to Micro in the 80s, but I think by 1990 my
subscription had lapsed.

Have you tried googling for the author of that paper?  You'd be
surprised how many of these people are easily contacted online and are
happy to share information about their past work, even if the
manufacturer doesn't make such information readily available.
