There are conflicting reports about LCD polarizers (and plastics in
general) reacting with amonia, isopropyl alcohol, and similar.
Obviously you have to stay away from things with solvents in
them--acetone, orange oil, etc.

I'm a little fussy about my gear[0], thus I'm conservative about about
cleaning products. I bought a big bottle of iKlear Apple polish.  It
was pretty pricey, but how much do you really use?  I clean my screens
*maybe* once every 3 months or so, a little more often on the
PowerBook (I use it around the keyboard and case too).  Most of the
time, I just dust my screens.

[0] My PB is two years old and has only 1 obvious scratch.  Blame it
on my little brothers rifling through my stuff as a kid and destroying
things.
