The printhead is not that likely to fail completely unless the printer
is heavily abused.  It is a very expensive part... I think they were
selling them for like $3400 at one point.  Don't remove the printhead
from an 840, however, unless you have the instructions and tools to
perform a head-drum-gap adjustment.  Don't undo the screws either.
Only the two in the contraption are required for removal.  You're
supposed to have a special holder, but you don't need it.  The most
likely to fail part on these is the Cap/Wipe/Purge unit... either the
gasket for making a seal with the head during cleaning or the belts
getting out of alignment are common.  You also need to make sure the
vacuum system has no leaks.
