My main.cf file has these entries :
alias_maps = dbm:/etc/postfix/aliases
#alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases
#alias_maps = hash:/etc/aliases, nis:mail.aliases
#alias_maps = netinfo:/aliases
Have you got the nis bit commented out ?
