The "gotcha" list on the Sendmail website looks moderately intimidating,
what with all the usual "you already have to know the answer to ask the
question" gawd-awful Sendmail shorthand doco. Whenever anyone complains
about my company's documentation, I just point 'em at www.sendmail.org; I
never hear any more complaints.

Of course not. If there's anything freeware.sgi.com is not, it's
"up-to-date."

I just did a bit of Googling, and what I can't find is (a) a good
introduction to Postfix and (b) a "how to switch from sendmail" guide.
Can one just download-untar-make-install and have it work in a safe and sane
manner?
