I think the original context may have been lost.  UML = User Mode
Linux, which only runs well on a few architectures.

Yes, it might cost a bit more :-)

The hard limit on # of Zones (VMs) under Sol10 is 8192 .  I don't
think you could really have that many in reality on anything but the
hugest setup, since right now (beta code) you use about 50-60MB per VM
to get things going.

A lot of folks grow bit by bit and thus buying a few PCs to start then
adding more makes sense for them, at least initially.
