It doesn't?  I thought one had to a) install a mod chip b) build a
special XBox controller->USB adapter.

For the dreamcast, a BBA isn't needed, but it sure would be nice.  They
are a hair costly.  DC controller to PS2 adapters are litterally only
like $10.
