Well it is part of the whole "sue happy" approach to things in this
society. It is not bad or good, it is just different societies. For
example I am used to see the news in Europe and see the politicians
calling each other every name in the book, and it will not be censored nor
bleeped. Same with nudity, or just raw footage.... for example war images
usually include the maimed dead bodies on the street. Because well, that
is what happens in war. Here most TV execs tend to assume that either the
large segment of the population is either highly stupid, or very ultra
sensitive. And to some extent they may be right, at least when it comes to
show any thing midly racy or riske on TV... then you are going to have
hordes of people very very upset just because. It would be interesting to
see if for example, any major TV network could run a totally uncut and
uncessored Monty Python movie or TV episode.
