[rescue] Mac Hints needed

   Have you trolled through the reports at www.xlr8yourmac.com to what what
other people report as useful techniques for dealing with this beast? The
command-option-shift-delete is a great combination for booting a machine of
this era and *forcing* it to walk the drive chain in search of a bootable
volume. Also, have you tried using a boot drive in an external case? Sometimes
I would have luck only when booting this way. (Disclaimer: I only ever saw a
few of these beasts, either staying on older xx00 systems or then moving up to
G3 iMacs and non-beige G3 PowerMacs.)
   The beige G3s get slagged off as being "too old" but I wouldn't sneeze at
it: it'a a nice system.
