I agree, but that is the way it is the way it is currently set up:

I want him to convert to this: www.yanmar.com/marine/products.html  There is a 55ft cruiser that was converted to Yanmar turbodiesel and they are so quiet you have to open the engine bay hatch to hear them.  It wasn't cheap.  The owner told me he had to spend $35k on the conversion.
