This is exactly what he did.  He expressed what he had seen (or more specifically what he had not seen) and relayed some info he got from a telco worker and that's it.  He never said anything along the lines of "there is no such thing as a non-HDSL T1."

My 1/2 T is a copper pair from the demarc approx. 150' down the alley from my office.  That is hooked into the fiber from the demarc to the backbone near Des Moines.  Was in on a upgrade for an Eaton corporation from 2 - T1's to 2 - T3's that never involved any hdsl about 3 months ago.  I have no problems with people expressing what they have seen or been involved in, but don't decide that is the only option.
