BTW: I am working on a i82596 driver for *BSD. This should speed up 
Ethernet on the old hp700 machines a bit. Currently *BSD drives 
Ethernet only in i82586 mode on hp700. This is quite suboptimal.

Interresting to know. I thought about getting a B2000 or the like when
NetBSD/hp700 is usable. 400 MHz of PA8500 power would be nice, even in
32 bit mode. But a NetBSD/hp700-64 is in far, far future.
