If it were me, I'd just use an external drive initially till I could get
a really cheap tray.

That's not really needed if I plan on using a cd player for CD instead
of the SGI.  And with the other kit that shawn has, I'd imagine he would
think the same.

The lack of that is what would give me pause in considering that SGI at
that price.

I'd hold out for a working machine (defined as needing no more than a
harddrive and OS) if paying more than $50 all said and done.  But, there
are many things that that machine would be usefull for once working
without having to make it a Max impact with tons of ram and an r10k.
