Greaghh, must have been in auto-rant-mode.  /usr/lib is a historical place
to put sendmail, (so in a sense, it's "sendmail compatibility' ;-)

/usr/sbin/sendmail is where it should be in any modern system;  although
/usr/lib/sendmail is likley there as a symlink to the above.
